Our guest speakers this week were Laurie Husted (Chief Sustainability Officer, Bard College) and Sara Ugolini (Director, RH Community Center) task force members: Red Hook Sustainable Community Certification Program. They reminded us to "Flip the Ballot" and vote on the Bond Act. This is a once in a generation opportunity to fund clean air, clean water and infrastructure for New York. The federal climate legislation known as the Inflation Reduction Act, which was signed into law in August, will provide billions of dollars for climate mitigation and resiliency efforts.
