Rotarians Hear of New Community Center

The Red Hook Rotary Club welcomed Dr. George Verrilli and Ken Giek to their recent breakfast meeting. Dr. Verrilli and Mr. Giek spoke about the new Red Hook Community Center. The center plans to offer after-school programs to youth to keep them out of trouble and off of drugs. Also planned are programs for seniors, a gymnasium and a wellness center.

The Red Hook Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at the Black Star Social (formerly Bread and Bottle) at the corner of East Market Street and South Broadway. Visitors are welcomed.
