Dear Members and Volunteers,
We will be clearing debris from the section of RTE 9 in upper Red Hook assigned to us.
Saturday, October 11th from 10 am to 2 pm works for our younger membership.
So ;you are all invited to join Andrew Makebish and the Interact Club and Jonah Triebwasser on Oct 11th at 10 am. to the parking lot of Sabrosa Restaurant to continue our task of clearing the roadway. I will provide bags, vests, hats, gloves and grabbers. We will travel north and south from Sabrosa's. We will end our efforts at noon.
Please let Susie know if you can attend this wonderful event.

The Ascienzo Family Foundation and the Red Hook Community Center are happy to once again co-sponsor a No Cost Market and Gift Giveaway on Saturday November 8th at the Community Center from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. In previous years similarly designed markets assisted many in the community as they planned their own Thanksgiving or Holiday Meal. There has been generous support from the region's farming community, Hannaford, Adams, and our social service network to make that happen. We've had volunteers and guidance from Rotary, the RH Faculty Association, RH Responds, Bard, Community Action Partnership, and local pantry directors. Food Service Directors from RH Central School willdemonstrate how best to prepare those items donated.This event does not happen without the great intentions of all those mentioned! A flyer for the event is attached.
We'll serve community members - those most in need and food insecure - who will share in the offerings. Families will participate in a traditional market, but with no sale of goods at the 8th of November event. Donated goods or food will not be sold.
We humbly request your assistance. Will there be any surplus foodstuffs/harvest that you could graciously donate in early November? Nothing will be too small or unappreciated and coordinating the pick up of those donations is part of the planning process. Clothing and toy giveaways will be part of the morning's activities as well. We hope to have something for all those that attend.
Thanks for your consideration! Your donation will give our neighbors nutritious alternatives and a Market-like experience. We have all benefited from your community engagement in the past - Cheers to your involvement!
