Our guest speaker at Red Hook Rotary this week was Dr. Lisa Curcio. Dr. Curcio is a board certified, fellowship-trained breast surgeon providing individualized care to patients with breast concerns. She spoke to us about breast cancer awareness and the Light the Village Pink initiative. The club presented a donation of $150.00 to Dr. Curcio to support Light the Village Pink.
Red Hook, Rhinebeck and Hyde Park Rotary clubs will host a fundraising event at Foster's Coach House, Route 9, Rhinebeck, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. to support Light the Village Pink. The public is cordially invited.Shown in the photo are Dr. Curcio and Red Hook Rotary President Jonah Triebwasser.
Our Red Hook High School Rotary Interact club and Bard College students who are forming a Rotaract club did out adopt-a-highway clean up with Rotary president Jonah Triebwasser and Interact Advisor Andrew Makebish.

Our guest today at the Red Hook Rotary Club was Rotarian Erika Murphy, President of the Rhinnebeck Rotary Club, who spoke about having joint service projects and fundrasiers with our two clubs as well as the Hyde Park Rotary.
Lars and Lena also visited wth Rotarian Dave Wright.
Our guest speaker this week was Red Hook Rotary's own Carol Annas who spoke about the Old Dutch Village Garden Club.
We are excited to have two projects going in one weekend.
Thanks to our sandwich makers, Joanne Gelb and Diana Devlin (Rhinebeck Rotary) Jonah Triebwasser, Ariadne Montare, Susan Simon and Jen Van Voorhis (who was taking the photo) (Red Hook Rotary) who made 150 PB&J sandwich bags which included apple sauce and chips.
Red Hook Rotarians, Red Hook Interactors, Bard College Rotaractors, members of Delta Kappa Gamma educational organization and other community members assembled nearly 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for needy children. They will be distributed this Sunday at the United Methodist Church food pantry in Red Hook.

While at the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada, our club president, Hon. Jonah Triebwasser, was the guest of the Canmore Rotary Club in the exquisite Canadian Rockies. Rotarians from around the world were treated to a First Nations' banquet, a folk singer, a historical lecture and a poet. A delightful evening all around. Jonah is seen here presenting our Red Hook Rotary pennant to the host club and receiving one of their pennants in return.
