We had a great meeting Tuesday at Flatiron in Red Hook with Guest Speakers (left to right) Eric Spiegel President of Rhinebeck at Home, Anne Brueckner, founder and former Vice President of Rhinebeck at Home, Nina Lynch, founder and former President of Rhinebeck at Home, all welcomed by Hon. Jonah Triebwasser, President of the Red Hook Rotary.
Rhinebeck at Home is a nonprofit member organization dedicated to helping its members remain in their own homes and stay connected within the community as they age. It was officially established in 2013 with 40 members and have since grown to over 160 members.

Red Hook Rotarian Susan Ezrati has been recognized for the second time as a Paul Harris Fellow.
Named for the founder of Rotary, attorney Paul Harris, Esq., a Paul Harris Fellow is someone recognized by Rotary International for significant contributions (or in whose name a contribution is made) of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation, honoring them for supporting Rotary's goals of world peace and understanding with a pin and certificate. This award is given for substantial financial gifts or extraordinary service, recognizing both Rotarians and non-Rotarians who embody Rotary's ideals, with levels of recognition increasing for higher contributions, noted by added sapphires or rubies on the pin.

Red Hook Rotary Club conducted a coat drive today at the United Methodist Church food pantry. Over 150 coats were distributed!
Red Hook Rotary had a great evening tour at the Fisher Center. Our tour guide provided so much history, details and future vision. THANK YOU!! Alessandra.Alessandra Larson serves as the Director of Institutional Advancement and Strategy for the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, where she plays a key role in guiding development efforts and strategic fundraising initiatives in support of the performing‑arts mission of the institution.
The Red Hook, Rhinebeck and Hyde Park Rotary Clubs had a lovely evening at Foster's Coach House supporting the Light the Village Pink Breast Cancer Awareness initiative. All three clubs received certifiates of recognition from Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino for this important endeavor.

Our guest speaker at Red Hook Rotary this week was Dr. Lisa Curcio. Dr. Curcio is a board certified, fellowship-trained breast surgeon providing individualized care to patients with breast concerns. She spoke to us about breast cancer awareness and the Light the Village Pink initiative. The club presented a donation of $150.00 to Dr. Curcio to support Light the Village Pink.

Our guest speaker this week was Red Hook Rotary's own Carol Annas who spoke about the Old Dutch Village Garden Club.
We are excited to have two projects going in one weekend.Thursday we worked with many of our community and stuffed backpacks full of school supplies and they are being given out Sunday the 24th at the Red Hook United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
Saturday we served 183 meals with Hope on a Mission in Poughkeepsie, an organization that serves meals every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
THANK YOU to all that volunteered to help make these projects a great success. We also had help from Rhinebeck Rotary Club.
Thanks to our sandwich makers, Joanne Gelb and Diana Devlin (Rhinebeck Rotary) Jonah Triebwasser, Ariadne Montare, Susan Simon and Jen Van Voorhis (who was taking the photo) (Red Hook Rotary) who made 150 PB&J sandwich bags which included apple sauce and chips. 
Red Hook Rotarians, Red Hook Interactors, Bard College Rotaractors, members of Delta Kappa Gamma educational organization and other community members assembled nearly 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for needy children. At this week's Red Hook Rotary meeting our new officers took their oaths of office. Secretary Jen Van Voohis swore in President Hon. Jonah Triebwasser and then Judge Triebwasser swore in Jen as secretary for another term and Becca Kent as Treasurer.

No, that's not Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Our club president, Hon. Jonah Triebwasser, and future Rotarian Ellen Triebwasser represented our club at the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada.
While at the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada, our club president, Hon. Jonah Triebwasser, was the guest of the Canmore Rotary Club in the exquisite Canadian Rockies. Rotarians from around the world were treated to a First Nations' banquet, a folk singer, a historical lecture and a poet. A delightful evening all around. Jonah is seen here presenting our Red Hook Rotary pennant to the host club and receiving one of their pennants in return.

Todd is a long-time resident of Red Hook and a successful businessman. He has served many years on the Hudson Valley Hospice Board, SUNY Delhi Alumni Board and President of the Red Hook Society for the Apprehension and Detention of Horse Thieves.
Todd was recognized at a dinner on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Red Hook Community Center.
The Red Hook Rotary Foundation is a 501 c 3 charitable foundation. Its mission is to provide financial support for programs and projects in and around the Red Hook community. The main focus of the Foundation is in the areas of education and youth. The Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors, supports the Interact Club at Red Hook High School, Rotary’s Youth Exchange Program, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference for high school sophomores.
