The Red Hook Rotary Club has named environmentalist and community volunteer Laurie Husted as their Citizen of the Year for 2016.
 
Ms. Husted has been active in various energy efficiency projects throughout Red Hook including the popular 10% challenge whereby Red Hook residents were encouraged to reduce their energy consumption by 10%.
 
The 16th Annual Rotary Citizen of the Year dinner honoring Laurie Husted will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 6:15 pm at the Red Hook Firehouse Community Room.  Tickets are $45.00 per person ($20 is tax deductible).  A limited number of tickets will be available at the door, first come, first served. Past recipients of the Citizen of the year honor include Retired Town Clerk Margaret Doty, former Town Supervisor Bob Bowman and the Reverend Fred Cartier.
